Job Description - Sales Associate
Reports To: General Manager (1st), Assistant Manager (2nd)
General Job Description
The position of Sales Associate is vitally important to the success of our company. The majority of our public relations occur through our Sales Associates. This position requires honest, capable and professional individuals who are friendly and enjoy working with people. These individuals must accept a broad range of responsibilities. The Sales Associate must be able to adapt to an array of situations, always keeping customer service at the forefront of their priorities.
Major Responsibilities

Typical Tasks and Duties
- Perform work safely; eliminate and report all hazards immediately
- Efficient an accurate operation of the cash register
- Greet and assist all customers
- Clean and maintain store appearance, inside and outside
- Sweep and mop approximately 3000 sq. ft. of floor space
- Sanitize food preparation, serving and eating areas
- Prepare, cook and serve food
- Wash dishes manually in a three compartment sink
- Reconcile cash to sales at the end of shifts
- Stock cooler, freezer and shelving (this includes lifting containers that weigh up to 70 lbs.)
- Replace and connect cumbersome post mix bags in a box
- Receive vendor deliveries and verify accuracy
- Empty trash cans, inside and outside of store
- Replenish supplies required by customers in food service, rest rooms and gasoline dispensing areas
Typical Skills Required
- Be physically capable of performing the tasks and duties listed above
- Be able to stand, stoop and bend 8 to 12 hours per day
- Be able to walk and carry items for several hours each day
- Be able to lift up from 10 to 70 lbs. Several times per day
- Be able to pull up to 200 lbs. on occasion
- Be able to push 10 lbs (mopping) several times per day
- Be able to work in 30 degree (F) temperatures and below 0 degree (F) temperatures stocking the cooler and the freezer
- Have hands exposed to water, bleach and disinfectants throughout each shift
- Must possess a working knowledge of math
- Have sufficient visual acuity to check identification
- Be able to operate machines and tools used on the job including food preparation equipment, cash register, personal computer and 10-key calculator
Job Description - Assistant Manager
Reports To: General Manager (1st), Director of Human Resources(2nd)
General Job Description
The primary function of the Assistant manager's position is to provide the General Manager with support in the overall operation of the store. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who has a desire to continually assume more responsibility an ultimately to learn the G.M.'s job. The Assistant manager must be willing to work flexible hours. He/She must possess or have the ability to learn strong administrative skills. This position requires someone with strong moral and ethical qualities.

Typical Tasks and Duties
- Must perform all tasks and duties required of Sales Associate
- Helps with the development and training of new employees
- Helps with the ordering of merchandise for the store
- Helps with the daily bookkeeping (i.e. reports, invoices, deposits)
- Helps with the administration of company policy
- Directs the work of other employees in a manner that is consistent with policy and the instructions of the G.M.
- Exercises discretionary power in the G.M.'s absence in a manner which is consistent with company policy
- Makes himself/herself available at times of the G.M.'s extended absence. (i.e. days off, vacation, illness)

- Must be able to work very long hours whenever necessary
- Must communicate effectively with subordinates and superiors
- Must possess strong working knowledge of arithmetic
- Must be capable and willing to solve problems that pertain to the daily operation of the store and personnel when they arise in the General Managers absence.

The General Manager is directly responsible for the store property, employees, and sales 365 days per year. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who is not afraid of hard work. The General Manager must possess or have the ability to possess strong administrative skills. This person must be able to gain the respect of fellow employees and customers. He/She must possess strong moral and ethical qualities.
